1st November 2018
Pupils arrived at school to the sight of a large HGV unit parked in the playground! The driver and his colleague from Gist took each class into the wagon, showed them how everything worked and delivered some road safety advice; most importantly making them aware of blind spots and driver visibility. All the children loved sitting so high up and lots declared they would like to drive a lorry when they are older!
Anti-Bullying Week - Choose Respect
The theme of Anti-Bullying Week this year was 'Choose Respect'. On Monday 12th November, children were asked to come to school in odd socks, to celebrate diversity and what makes us unique! As one of our school rules is 'be respectful' children continued the theme in lessons throughout the week, focusing on what bullying is, what it can look like, what are the consequences of bullying, how we can stop it and how to help someone who we think may be bullied.
CHILDREN IN NEED
This year children came to school in non-uniform and donated £1 each for Children in Need. We did lots of fun activities around school and managed to raise £70.30!
