Play in a Day

We welcomed Konflux Theatre Group on 6th and 7th November.  They held a workshop for Year 5 and 6, then another the following day for Year 3 and 4.  The children had a day to put together a ‘play in a day’ based on mental health and wellbeing. Both classes responded with their usual enthusiasm and eager attitudes. At 3pm that day the class performed in front of the whole school, doing an excellent job remembering their lines and positions. We were immensely proud of them all.

Odd Socks Day
In support of Anti-Bullying Week, children came into school on Monday 13th November in odd socks.  It was an opportunity for children to express themselves and appreciate individuality. There was no pressure on the children to wear the latest fashion or for parents to buy expensive costumes and it gave the children the chance to be confident in being different.
Children in Need
The School Council requested that children (and staff) come into school on Friday 17th November dressed in 80's clothes or something spotty! £1 donations were gratefully received.  Pupils held a bake sale at break times and had a dance-off in the afternoon.  It was a great way to fundraise for Children in Need and we managed to raise £139.76! Fantastic effort, everyone!!
