Wear it Wild Day

In aid of the World Wildlife Fund and to link to their endangered animals topic, Sycamore class independently organised and planned a fundraising day.   Ways of raising money included coming to school dressed in animal themed clothes in exchange for £1, a bake sale, jumble table-top sale, nail painting, hand massages...

It was a 'roaring' success and has even been covered by the York Press!

The children managed to raise over £140 on the day, which is just amazing given our small pupil numbers.  Well done Sycamore Class, really great work!
Schools' Yorkshire Tour 2019

The Schools’ Yorkshire Tour (large scale cycle baton relay) journeyed through Skelton Primary on Monday 10th June. The aim of the Schools’ Yorkshire Tour is to encourage more young people to take up cycling, promoting cycling as a fun, every day method of transport by promoting an active lifestyle and improving the quality of air outside of schools across the region, reducing levels of congestion on our roads.

Clifton Green arrived with the baton, which was passed over to 6 of our children, who then carried it by bicycle (with Miss Chaplin and Mrs Moore) to Lakeside Primary...and what a welcome we got there! Amazing!

All of the children did incredibly well to cycle there and back, each receiving a medal for their efforts!
