Music Tuition Bursary Scheme
All children at Skelton Community Primary School, will study music as part of the curriculum. No charge is made for this.
There is a charge for individual or group music tuition if this is not part of the National Curriculum. These lessons are taken by a peripatetic music teacher who will have a schedule of prices for different instruments and groups.
For children who are looked after or on free school meals, there is a bursary scheme of up to £200 per pupil per academic year to help disadvantaged families with the costs of instrumental and vocal tuition.
Please see the attached document for details of how to apply for a bursary.
Skelton Primary has recently been awarded the Music Mark, in recognition of our commitment to providing high quality music education for all our children.
